Ricapitolando, è di ieri mattina la notizia, riportata da tutti i principali quotidiani, che President of the Puglia region Nichi Vendola, would be entered in the register of suspects for attempted extortion.
The case concerns the failure to win a competition by the luminary of medicine Logroscino Domenico, "brain" Pugliese emigrated abroad, an associate professor at Harvard and one of the world's leading experts in the field of degenerative diseases (ALS, Parkinson's disease .. ..)
Vendola had asked the professor to return to work in Puglia, the luminary he had not won the competition. So it happens that Vendola phoned his ex-councilor for Health (now Senator Pd German), amazed by the fact that Professor Logroscino failed to win the competition (and on this call is based the assumption of "attempted extortion").
course all the national press, including "The Fact", it throws a fish on the sensational news, which, just happened, comes just days before the primary Puglia.
In the afternoon arrives, however, the denial through the press conference, the chief prosecutor in Bari Antonio Laudati, which can be read in full on the website of Nichi Vendola than on the SEL, and which carry the main points.
"against the President of the Regional Government of Puglia, Nichi Vendola, there are under investigation in this prosecution, registration subject of communication."
The formula is somewhat abstruse, but of course the good Massari has no doubts about his performance: "Vendola is under investigation, yes, but we can not tell you."
Later the prosecutor denounces illegal leaks and political exploitation of the affair:
"The prosecutor noted the possible exploitation of such investigations for purposes other than those proceedings, as well as from earlier leaks about the investigation in progress: the present it is possible that they refer to components of the investigation team. "
Then there are the "investigators infidels," it calls them the best Massari, and political exploitation of the affair. On this point, I could not agree with the journalist but soon after, in mid-article, draws conclusions from the story "is still the matter of record: Vendola is under investigation for attempted extortion, even if the rumors speak of a future closure of the case ".
But we're kidding? What does it mean, in context, the term "matter of record"? E "entries", what have they to do with the facts?
I would also like to stress that the term "allegations instrumental" (which translated from giuridichese mean, if I remember correctly, which constitute "acts due") used in the title, will no longer appear later in the article. Now I
I understand that a newspaper headline yesterday that only "suspect Vendola etc etc" and not feel like it, pass me the term a bit vulgar but appropriate, "honor" admitting he got a crab (otherwise, why do not the owner today, "The prosecutor confirms Vendola suspect" ), but this being the standard bearer of the newspaper "Facts", the independent newspaper, no stain, no masters nor public funding, it is inevitable that one of his attentive reader, like myself, I remain thrilled.
the impression remains strong, having read yet another example of the CD. "Yellow journalism": news and dates not given, "items", subtle combinations in order to engender suspicion, that headline have little or nothing to do with the article, so just to make headlines.
If this information is "free" and "independent" in Italy, we are okay.
Enzo Biagi, in my opinion, is turning in his grave.
