E 'Friday evening, August 28. It took us three weeks to agree and plan a healthy Orobie and around the front of a Corona beer in 5 minutes, we have (a) changed the route and chose to leave for the Valley Scerscern also to try to GNP (up to 100 plants per person ). To convince us that the weather forecasts were unfortunately had predicted clouds, rain and storm in the early morning. But this was certainly not to stop our desire for adventure!
Ok 23 hours. Erick phone call to warn him to change the program and then Poul. Erick and responds to the cinema to watch ET and Poul is in his bed by 18 and responds sua moglie Elena.. le lasciamo un messaggio.
Ore 7,00… 7,15… arriva Luca… perfetto!
Perfetto!
Se degli alpinisti prudenti avrebbero mollato… noi no! Decidiamo di proseguire diretti in val di Scerscern. Consegniamo una lettera Farewell to deliver to our families, the operator of the shelter and then we start shelling a rosary.
take the path which in practice has become a stream and after a few steps are wet. But not give up! We follow the yellow triangle indicates that the variant of the V stage of the High Street passing through the valley of Scerscen and arrive at the bridge, near the quarries of asbestos. Damn, the black cloud there is indeed spring ... still angry. We just managed to point to the house of the quarry workers attacked by another rocky mountain discharge of water and hail left the sky to fall on earth. This time we have saved and avoided risk of getting wet head But to take a tumor in the quarries of asbestos. Other climbers would run screaming ... not us! Meanwhile, a marmot was shelling a rosary while the vultures were right over our heads. After visiting every corner of that stone retreat here carcinogen caves. The idea of entering arrives, and with the light of phone and the camera flash do caving in the gorge. Fantastic! Not so happy after that the head of Eric Stone sharp fall on it.
do not believe it ... look again after half an hour of sunshine here! What do we do? We share. No ... not at all from going home in backpacks shoulder and head north again!
After thousands of steps we reach the Alpine Cemetery. Scissors out of the bags and started the first "zac .. zac "... while we continue to direct at the bottom to the glacier ..." Crap white. " It's almost 14, quick lunch with sandwiches and sliced a shot of good GNP and then via "zac ... zac" without backpacks. Planting 100 head no more. 14.30 interrupt operations, we continue the ascent to the refuge Scerscern.
circumventing "Crap white" in a vertical path by following the yellow triangle road signs, walking ... walking ... rocks and brush until we arrive in a stretch shod and right in front of us .. one ... two ... three ... beautiful edelweiss. Those were years that I could not see. Beautiful! Photos of the rite and then continue. The climb continues and never ends.
After an hour finally we reach the saddle of the valley Scerscern with views of the refuge. Pause for a sip of water and chocolate and then leave again at this late hour to San Jose. Stop rigor of the lake level and then to a deserted house where we parked an old Range Rover. The descent continues following the Scerscer street that once was used to drive cars of tourists who loved skiing on the glacier in summer. Further down, the legs begin to give in but continue without fear. Arriving on the Mount of Entova cut down the coast from a marked trail and after half an hour we are at the first log cabins and the stallion. A sip of water from a fountain and then go on. 19.30 It is now the best to call someone to come and take us to San Jose. So after several rounds of phone calls will be Stefano to give us a ride to church and we reward them with a good pint of beer at the refuge Sasso Black Finish adventure.
The day was fantastic because we have avoided two powerful storms in the morning and a beautiful sun accompanied us throughout the afternoon. In total we walked 45,256 steps of 50 cm. medium for a length of 21.66 chilometri per buona parte in quota oltre i 2000 metri.
