summer and winter, when we go out in the mountains, often my wife and I dribbled a motto in Cortina (of our invention) "'I am there, that is no n negun" which would to say, "Let's go there, there's no one." The motto used to indicate a hut, a shelter, a trail a peak that, in our opinion, none or few of our countrymen and neighbors attend and where it is therefore unlikely to share space with someone we know. It: Sunday, March 6 we thought that was the same for Obere Steinzgeralm - Malga Montale di Sopra, rustic restaurant at 1891 m high above Lake Antholz pastures - the fruit of old logging - which descend from the Rote Wand, scenic and popular height in the top third of his beloved mountains Casies. We climb in the quiet pasture on a beautiful day now ready to spring, lunch, rest, and at some point those who see the door? Head, rags, Magic, Martina, and Mimmo (names and nicknames are known in the "Crodaioli" between San Vito and Cortina), a group of enthusiasts who came back from a great ski mountaineering on Rote Wand. They wonder, and we most of them, and find Ampezzo Cadore in the corner of South Tyrol, a stone's throw from the Austrian border, which we naively thought we knew and a few others, but we know that the Mountain has no boundaries, and then all Ober Steinzgeralm beer is really good ...
